Pennsylvania Vehicle Title Notarization Guide
To ensure your Pennsylvania vehicle title is notarized correctly and efficiently, please review the important information below:
🔎 General Information
✋ Do Not Sign Early
DO NOT sign or fill out any section of the title before meeting with us. Mistakes or premature signatures can void the title and require a replacement.
🔢 Odometer Reading
Bring the current odometer reading to your appointment. This is required for the title transfer.
🪪 Valid IDs Only
Each person signing must bring an original, government-issued photo ID. No photocopies or phone pictures. The name on the ID must exactly match the name on the front of the title.
👥 Multiple Owners
If more than one owner is listed on the front of the title, all owners must be present with matching IDs.
💰 If You Are the Seller
- Be prepared to provide the sale price of the vehicle. This applies even if the vehicle is being junked.
- If you are not attending the appointment with the buyer, you must provide the buyer’s full legal name.
- If you’re selling to a junk car company and were advised to leave it blank, please contact them to get the business name as this is required for notarization.
🧾 If You Are the Buyer
- If the title was already given to you by the seller, the back of the PA vehicle title must be signed and notarized by the seller. Without this, the transfer cannot be completed.
